Financial Controller - Jamaica

An exciting opportunity for accomplished hospitality finance professional to take the next step in their international career with a highly established luxury hospitality organisation operating across the Caribbean.

This ia a senior finance appointment offering far more than traditional financial control. Working closely with the General Manager and executive leadership team, the Financial Controller will play a key role in shaping commercial performance, financial strategy and operational success within a sophisticated resort environment.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will take overall responsibility for the financial integrity and performance of the resort, acting as a trusted commercial partner to the General Manager and leadership team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the resort finance function and developing a high-performing team.
• Overseeing financial accounting, reporting, controls and compliance.
• Managing budgets, forecasts, month-end reporting and financial analysis.
• Providing commercial insight and challenge to senior operational leaders.
• Driving cost management, profitability and financial discipline.
• Managing cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure.
• Ensuring robust internal controls and accuracy of financial information.
• Partnering with operational teams to identify opportunities and improve performance.
• Working with regional and corporate finance teams on wider strategic initiatives.
• Developing finance talent and supporting succession planning.

The Profile

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially astute hospitality finance professional ready to take their career to an international level.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Director of Finance or equivalent senior finance professional within a luxury hotel, resort or complex hospitality operation.
• Strong technical knowledge of hospitality finance, accounting and financial controls.
• Experience across budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and financial performance.
• A strong commercial mindset and the ability to translate financial information into operational insight.
• Proven leadership capability and experience developing finance teams.
• The confidence and credibility to partner with a General Manager and senior leadership team.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
• A professional accounting qualification or equivalent senior-level experience.
• International hospitality experience would be advantageous, although exceptional candidates from other markets will be considered.
