Financial Controller / Company Accountant

The group operates a portfolio of hotels and restaurants and is continuing to develop its business. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for supporting the financial management and reporting of multiple entities and hospitality operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations and group reporting
• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping, AP and AR
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Managing payroll and VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors
• Providing financial support to the group's hotel and restaurant operations
• Helping to improve financial processes and controls as the business continues to grow

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with strong hospitality, hotel, restaurant, property or multi-site experience, together with a good understanding of management accounting and group accounting.

Experience with Xero and/or Sage, payroll and VAT would be advantageous. The role would suit someone who is organised, hands-on and commercially aware, with the ability to work independently while building effective relationships across the business.
